Right now, I am especially grateful for...
401) a successful hour-long appointment with a new child psychologist for one of our girls.
402) managing {so far} to stay healthy despite this really awful flu season.
403) our newest "family" member was born on Monday evening {the girls' "cousin"--our best friends' new daughter}. I can't wait to cuddle her!
404) dark Hershey's kisses.
405) a week with fewer commitments than last week.
406) finding new blogs {like this one and this one}.
407) the mornings when there is no fighting and and crying over what the girls are wearing to school.
408) going to bed early.
409) the way my oldest almost always does her nightly homework without a single complaint.
410) Girls Night Out #1 ... Dinner and Shopping on Saturday night.
411) Girls Night Out #2 ... Magic Mike with some other mommas on Sunday night.
412) my husband's growing talent of choosing perfect bottles of wine.
413) the girls' excitement over hitting their 100th days of school for this year.
414) having just enough cash to buy a pizza that will also become the next day's packed lunch.
415) my mom's willingness to watch the girls for a few hours this Friday.
416) cuddling in bed with Abby after dinner every night while we watch Scooby Doo.
417) listening to the psychologist say that my daughter is one of the most self-aware children she has ever met.
418) my daily alone time on the treadmill.
419) measurable success in my journey toward a healthy body {i.e. weight loss}.
420) the psychotherapy that, though sometimes painful, is helping me accept and love who I am.

Glad to hear that the flu bug hasn't hit your house either! We have been staying put in our bubble to avoid it at all costs! Now if I could only manage #408...what a great gift to myself that would be! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhy did I have to post #402?!? By the time I finished writing today's post, Abby was throwing up. Lovely... I hope you guys avoid it though!
